Hi all! I'm leading a workshop next Thursday, April 11 at SUNY New Paltz Design Week (free, open to the public) in which participants will build and deploy a portfolio website. No coding experience required - I've been working on building a full-featured starter repo for this workshop that combines static-site generator Astro with a CMS (Keystatic) for visual editing. At the end of the workshop, you'll have a site live on the internet (deployed for free on GitHub Pages or Netlify.) While the workshop content is focused on ease of use for non-technical folks, it's also a really cool platform for people who do have web development experience, and it's designed to be easy to extend and customize with HTML/CSS and even React-style JSX components (which get rendered down to static HTML in the build process). I'm Eric De Feo (Hudson, NY) and have been running the Hudson Community Incubator since 2020 - we serve startups up and down the Hudson River Valley. My background has been launching, consulting, and investing in startups for the last decade.
