Hi there! I’m an illustrator who uses (or wants to better use) my laser engraver in my work. I own a Snapmaker 2.0 350T 3-in-1 machine that does 3D Printing, laser engraving, and CNC routing. I’ve had good success with the 3D printing function, moderate success with laser engraving, and little success with CNC routing. Eventually, I’d like to learn how to do all of these things, but my current project is on the laser tool.

Frankly, I’d like to establish relationships with other people doing this stuff, so we can help each other learn. I’ve tried Meetup, and am posting on Facebook, Nextdoor, and here. If you do 3D Printing, Laser engraving, or CNC routing, I’d like to get to know you!

Contact Dénes (pronounced “Danish”) House at five-eight-five, four-eight-nine, thirty-eight hundred, call or text, or reply here to this post.

Thanks!

I know there are a decent number of people in the 3D printing space nearby, but I'm not sure if there's a community for them yet!

SUNY New Paltz has the Hudson Valley Additive Manufacturing Center, which is all about 3D printing. (They have a profile on here, too, though this is a good reminder that I should add @-mentions sometime so you can ping people directly, ha).

Unlimited Tomorrow in Rhinebeck is a medical prosthetics company that uses industrial-grade 3D printers to manufacture next-gen bionic arms... easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen. They might know of some people too!
